डीजीसीए के अनुसार, एयर इंडिया एक्सप्रेस AXB1344, बोइंग 737 दुबई से कालीकट आ रही थी। विमान में 189 यात्री सवार थे। भारी बारिश के कारण रनवे पर उतरने के बाद विमान फिसल गया और घाटी में गिर गया। उसी समय विमान दो टुकड़ों में टूट गया। विमान में 189 यात्री और चालक दल के 6 सदस्य थे। इनमें 10 बच्चे शामिल थे।
केरल के मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय ने कहा कि पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने विमान दुर्घटना के संबंध में केरल के सीएम पिनाराई विजयन से फोन पर बात की है। सीएम ने पीएम को बताया कि कोझीकोड और मलप्पुरम जिला कलेक्टर और आईजी अशोक यादव सहित अधिकारियों की एक टीम हवाई अड्डे पर पहुंच गई है और बचाव अभियान जारी है।
जानकारी के मुताबिक इस हादसे में एक पायलट की मौत हो गई है। वहीं, कई लोग घायल बताए जा रहे हैं। राहत और बचाव कार्यों के लिए एनडीआरएफ की एक टीम कोझीकोड के लिए रवाना हो गई है। 50 एनडीआरएफ कर्मियों को घटनास्थल पर भेजा गया है। एनडीआरएफ की टीम को मलप्पुरम से भेजा गया है।
हेल्पलाइन नंबर जारी किया
CISF के महानिदेशक राजेश रंजन ने कहा कि हमारे कर्मी बचाव कार्य में मदद कर रहे हैं। हमारे पास अभी तक कोई हताहत नहीं हुआ है लेकिन हमारे कर्मी विमान में सवार यात्रियों को निकालने में मदद कर रहे हैं। वहीं, दुर्घटना के बाद हेल्पलाइन नंबर (0565463903, 0543090572, 0543090572, 0543090575) भी जारी किए गए हैं।
अस्पताल में भर्ती
विमान दुर्घटना में कई लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हुए हैं। घायलों को इलाज के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है। फिलहाल घटनास्थल पर अराजकता का माहौल है और राहत एवं बचाव कार्य किया जा रहा है। इस विमान में यात्रियों को वांडा इंडिया मिशन के तहत दुबई से वापस लाया जा रहा था।
