Cabin Crew Jetstar Airways subsidiary of the Qantas Group

The Jetstar Group is one of Asia Pacific’s fastest growing airlines. It’s made up of Jetstar Airways (a subsidiary of the Qantas Group) in Australia and New Zealand, Jetstar Asia in Singapore, Jetstar Pacific in Vietnam and Jetstar Japan.

Jetstar first commenced operations in Australia as a domestic airline in 2004. Since then, we’ve changed the face of flying in Asia Pacific. People who once couldn't fly, now can. And often.

Together we’ve built a truly amazing business, growing from 700 to more than 7,000 team members. Day in and day out, our teams across Asia Pacific search for new ways to make the world more accessible.

We’ve achieved all this by maintaining safety as our number one priority, by keeping our costs and prices the lowest in the industry, and importantly, because of our deep, shared passion for our customers and our business, as well as our can-do attitude.

As a consequence, a culture of innovation has flourished at Jetstar. Today, we’re much more than just low fares – we offer smart solutions and smart travel experiences.

We’re also a very big company that maintains its entrepreneurial spirit and drive. To ensure we don’t lose sight of who we are, we clearly spell out our vision, mission and objectives, as well as our core values, which guide the decisions we make every day.

Our Cabin Crew members are the face of our business in the air. It's not an easy task, but it is certainly a rewarding one. We're always on the lookout for energetic people who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service and have an innate awareness of safety and potential hazards. If you think you have what it takes, read on to find out how to apply in Australia and New Zealand.

Eligibility and selection

If you're ready for an exciting new life hitting the skies as a member of Jetstar's cabin crew, we'd love to hear from you.

To be considered, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

Experienced in customer services and comfortable selling face-to-face

Fit and able to complete a full medical, including sight and hearing test

Strong attendance and on-time record in your current position

Over 18 years of age

Ability to swim the distance of an Olympic sized swimming pool (50 metres) without aid or floating devices

Ability to reach 210cm in height with ease

Either an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

No visible tattoos or body piercings that are unable to be covered discreetly

Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Prepared to work unsocial hours – any day of the year, at any time including weekends, public and school holidays

Live within 90 minutes of your home base and be prepared to make this journey every day or night according to your roster

Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple time-sensitive demands

Passionate about grooming and appearance

In possession of current first aid certificate with 12 months' validity

Current valid passport, with a minimum of 12 months' validity and no restrictions

Finding the best candidates takes time, so there are many stages to the Jetstar cabin crew recruitment and assessment process.

All successful applicants must complete a full security background check, plus a cabin crew-specific pre-employment medical at their own cost.

There are a lot of things that we take into consideration, so in order to be successful, you will need to be present at every stage of the assessment process.
