🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
As a Safety Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of safety across our operations. Reporting to the Engineering Safety & Compliance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
🔍 Leading and managing Engineering Safety investigations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.
🌟 Promoting a Just Reporting Culture across Engineering and external partners.
📝 Overseeing the submission of Mandatory Occurrence Reports within required timescales.
📊 Supervising the Engineering Safety team, allocating investigations, supporting risk/change management, and contributing to continuous safety improvement initiatives.
🎓 Delivering safety-related training and representing the department in key meetings.
📈 Maintaining accurate safety data and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
📋 What You’ll Need
We’re looking for someone who brings expertise, passion, and leadership to the table. To excel in this role, you’ll need:
✔️ A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Continuing Airworthiness or Aviation Maintenance.
✔️ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
✔️ Proven background in safety investigations, safety management systems, and team leadership.
✔️ Excellent negotiation, coaching, and relationship-building abilities across all business levels.
✔️ A relevant engineering degree or UK/EASA aircraft maintenance licence.
✔️ Flexibility to travel (valid driving licence and passport required).
