The Crew Scheduler is responsible for managing crew schedules with a thorough understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and Allegiant’s scheduling procedures. Strong communication skills are essential for effective performance.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Authorized to work in the US as per the Immigration Act of 1986
Must pass a criminal background check
Preferred Requirements:
One year of experience in crew scheduling or the Airline industry
Excellent English communication skills for receiving instructions and interacting with customers
Professional demeanor and ability to work under stress
Comprehensive knowledge of FARs
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties:
Implement Allegiant’s policies and goals as directed
Ensure crew assignments comply with FARs and Allegiant Air Pilot Work Rules
Coordinate with other departments to plan and manage crew assignments
Maintain daily crew schedules
Collaborate with the Training Department for crew assignments and monitor crew legalities
Handle non-routine time-off requests and manage monthly bid period transitions
Maintain CMS Crew Scheduling data and provide written pass-downs to the next shift
Perform other assigned duties
Physical Requirements:
Regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, and use hands and fingers for computer and phone tasks
Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs
Work varying shifts in a 24-hour environment
Exposure to moderate noise and fluctuating temperatures and light
Ability to work in confined spaces and sit at a computer for extended periods
Some travel may be required
