Pilot Roles:
Air New Zealand is seeking talented pilots to help provide the unique Air New Zealand experience to our customers. Entry as a Pilot is typically as a First Officer on either the ATR or Q300 aircraft, operating the regional network that connects New Zealanders and the world. These roles are located at bases around New Zealand, offering both lifestyle opportunities and a rewarding career. Priority will be given to suitably qualified ATR and Q300 Pilots for advancement to jet positions.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate aircraft on domestic and international routes.
Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers.
Uphold Air New Zealand’s values and commitment to quality service and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Turboprop:
NZCAA CPL or higher (Required)
NZCAA Instrument Rating (current) and NZCAA MEIR (Required)
NZCAA ATPL or all ATPL subjects passed (Preferred)
NZCAA BTK/BGT (Required)
500 Total Flight Hours (TT)
40 hours Instrument Flight Time
25 hours Night Hours
English Language Proficiency Level 6
Jet:
NZCAA CPL or higher (Required)
NZCAA Instrument Rating (current) and NZCAA MEIR (Required)
NZCAA ATPL or all ATPL subjects passed (Preferred)
NZCAA BTK/BGT (Required)
1500 Total Flight Hours (TT)
100 hours Multi-Engine Aeroplane
100 hours ATO (Required)
40 hours Instrument Flight Time
25 hours Night Hours
English Language Proficiency Level 6
Additional Requirements for Jet Roles:
12 months command experience on a Part 121 turboprop (or equivalent); or
12 months first officer experience on a Part 121 or Part 125 jet aircraft; or
Part 121 or Part 125 jet command experience; or
12 months command experience with the RNZAF or other air force on equivalent weight category aircraft.
