Mumbai: An Air ambulance made an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport on Thursday after losing a wheel during take-off from Nagpur.
Officials said the Beechcraft VT-JIL Aircraft en route from Nagpur to Hyderabad declared a complete state of emergency and made a belly-landing at 9:09 pm.
The flight, carrying two crew members, a patient, a relative and a doctor, was flown to Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport because of a technical snag.
The Airport emergency response team consisting of fire and rescue responders, follow-me vehicles, security, medical team among many others was immediately activated and provided immediate assistance to ensure the safe evacuation of passengers.
As a precaution, the Airport also closed the runway to avoid Aircraft fire.
All passengers were evacuated safely and flights operating in and out of Mumbai Airport remained on time.
