Role Overview
The Manager – Technical Services & Training at Air Arabia leads the airline's Technical operations and Training activities to ensure compliance with aviation standards, safety regulations, and operational excellence. The role focuses on managing Technical services, developing Training programs, and fostering continuous improvement in engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Services Leadership
Manage the Technical services department to Support aircraft maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Oversee troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of Technical issues in collaboration with manufacturers and external partners.
Develop processes and documentation to ensure compliance with aviation regulations (e.g., GCAA, EASA, FAA).
Training and Development
Design and implement comprehensive Training programs for Technical and engineering staff.
Ensure that Training programs align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.
Monitor Training outcomes and evaluate employee competency post-Training.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to all applicable aviation safety standards and regulations.
Lead audits and inspections, implementing corrective actions as required.
Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and Training personnel.
Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities.
Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Strategic Initiatives
Develop and implement strategies to enhance Technical operations and Training effectiveness.
Provide expert advice to senior management on Technical and Training matters.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to Support Air Arabia’s strategic goals.
Budget and Resource Management
Plan and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Oversee resource allocation to Support Training and Technical operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in aviation or Technical management are preferred.Experience:
8–10 years of experience in aviation Technical services or maintenance, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and aviation safety.
Skills:
Strong understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Technical documentation and maintenance management systems.
Certifications:
GCAA/EASA-approved license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
