Aviation Safety in India @ High Risk Due to Covid-19

A Jet Serve Aviation C-90 Aircraft VT-JIL was operating an Ambulance Flight from Nagpur with patient on board on 6 May. While departing, a nose wheel seperated and fell on ground which was spotted by CISF personnel on the runway. The flight had to land in Hyderabad but deviated to Mumbai for safe landing. Crew confirmed the belly landing (no landing gear taken out) at 9:09 pm, foam put on the runway. The medical flight had five people on board, which included one patient, two crew members, one paramedic, and a doctor. All five passengers are safe.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted about the incident and lauded Capt Kesari Singh’s “Immense Presence of Mind” for belly landing the C90 Aircraft on foam carpeting in Mumbai.
Another incident took place on same day when a new KingAir B250 Airplane of MP Government “VT-MPQ” Crashed on Gwalior runway when the wheel stucked in fencing during landing. This aircraft carried consignment of Remedesiver injection from Jabalpur. Both Capt Majid Akhtar and Capt Shiv Jaiswal made safe landing but got some injuries. Immediately they were shifted to medical college.
