Air Canada is seeking skilled, safety-driven, and professional Pilots to join our world-class flight operations team. As a Pilot, you will operate domestic and international flights, ensuring the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism. This role requires excellent technical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to teamwork and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Air Canada aircraft in compliance with company procedures and aviation regulations.
Ensure the safety, security, and comfort of passengers and crew throughout all phases of flight.
Conduct pre-flight inspections, briefings, flight planning, and weather analysis.
Collaborate effectively with crew members, dispatch, and ground staff to ensure on-time performance.
Respond to in-flight emergencies or operational issues using sound judgment and training.
Complete accurate post-flight documentation and reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 2,000 hours total fixed-wing flight time.
Valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
Group 1 Instrument Rating.
Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
High school diploma (post-secondary education preferred).
Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
English proficiency (ICAO Level 4 or higher); French bilingualism is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
University degree or diploma in Aviation or related field.
Experience in multi-crew, turbine-powered aircraft operations.
Previous experience as a flight instructor, military pilot, or commercial airline pilot.
Glass cockpit and jet experience preferred.
Career Path & Work Conditions:
Entry-level Pilots begin as First Officers or Relief Pilots, with progression to Captain based on seniority and performance.
Pilots operate on domestic, transborder, and international routes.
Monthly flying time averages 75–85 hours, with additional ground duties.
Rotating schedules with layovers and reserve (on-call) duties required.
