Training

Successful applicants will undergo a four-month training programme, one of the longest and most comprehensive in the airline industry.

Upon successful completion of training, flying duties will commence.

Remuneration & Service Benefits

During training, you will receive a basic salary. Upon graduation and commencement of duties, you will  be given an attractive salary package with allowances based on your flight patterns and flying hours.

You will be based in Singapore and offered a 5-year employment contract initially. Additional 5-year contracts may be offered based on job performance. Apart from competitive remuneration, you will be granted free travel to any SIA destination once a year and enjoy discounted travel at other times. There is an attractive annual leave scheme, medical and dental treatment scheme, as well as comprehensive training programmes.

SIA will be conducting walk-in-interviews for cabin crew on Saturday, 30 July 2022 in Singapore.

If you meet the following requirements, we will be pleased to receive your application:

Minimum age of 18 years old 

Pleasant personality and service-oriented

Fluent in English with good communication skills

Minimum height requirement of at least 1.58m for females and 1.65m for males in order to carry out safety and emergency procedures onboard

Minimum qualification of 5 GCE 'O' Level credits (including English) or Higher Nitec and above.

Successful candidates must be able to commence employment with us within three months from the date of application.

Course:

All courses are considered except Architecture, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, and Pharmacy.

Eligibility:

Bond:

Value of Awards:

The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing SIA Group’s partnerships with other airlines, and with government, regulatory and industry stakeholders to secure opportunities for SIA’s growth. 

In the partnership arena, the candidate will focus on leveraging suitable partners which will complement SIA’s network strategies to grow SIA’s network and revenue, support SIA’s non-organic reach, and strengthen our customer proposition. His/her main responsibility will be to implement SIA’s partnerships strategy with key carriers, which may include managing Alliances, Joint Ventures (JV) and codeshare arrangements within relevant phases of the partnership life cycle. Through this process, he/she will actively engage with internal and external stakeholders across a wide range of business functions on partnership matters and develop strategic briefs to guide our negotiating and partner management strategies. 

In the international relations area, the candidate will focus on establishing strong relationships with government stakeholders and regulatory authorities to ensure that SIA secures access to markets and air space to support our network plans. His/her main responsibility will be to oversee and support the active management of our stakeholder relationships in Singapore and all countries and markets we operate to or overfly, either directly or through providing strategic briefs to management and station representatives in Singapore or at our overseas offices. He/she will also oversee the process of obtaining overflight approvals from regulatory authorities for seasonal/adhoc schedules and any technical flights required for ongoing operations.

 Key Responsibilities

• Managing the overall relationship with a portfolio of airline partners and industry stakeholders to deliver value and ROI for SIA within budget and in line with target timelines. This involves:

• Analyzing interline sales performance of partners and other relevant traffic flows to establish SIA’s commercial position and identify appropriate business plans to develop new markets and grow network and group revenue.

• Negotiating interline settlement and codeshare agreements, to achieve win-win outcomes for SIA and airline partner, seeking alignment of differing commercial priorities between SIA and partner, as necessary.

• Obtaining feedback from internal and external stakeholders across all functional business areas in developing and refining business plans.

• Preparing materials for airline partnership and industry stakeholder meetings at senior management and working levels, escalating issues and formulating SIA’s negotiation position for Senior Management where necessary.

• Implementing new/enhanced interline / codeshare / Alliance / JV cooperation with identified partners, including system interfaces and settlement processes.

• Monitor industry & country developments, and relevant organisational/policy changes at partner airlines and other external stakeholder organisations to inform strategic plans.

• Leading and participating in initiatives to achieve sustained business process improvement and transformation across departmental activities. This involves:

• Working with, guiding and developing associate team members in their day to day work, and in participating in training sessions as necessary

• Participating in projects combining systems enhancements, office automation and other end to end improvements to deliver improved capabilities, reduce friction and higher efficiencies.

• Where relevant, work with supporting departments to manage budgeting, financial control, procurement and administrative tasks in support of business goals

• Supervise direct reports where applicable, including performing performance reviews, ensuring welfare and other HR administration and support tasks.

• The candidate may also be assigned a combination of International Relations and Airline Partnerships portfolios, depending on job requirements.
