Job Title

Senior Manager, Compensation & Benefits


Role Purpose

Design, implement and continuously evaluate MAG Group-wide Pay, Rewards and Recognition Strategies and Policies aligned to People & Company Strategies to drive Performance and Productivity


Key Accountability

Develop Group Remuneration programs, including Salary Structures, Annual Salary Increment, Productivity Allowances, Incentives, S/T Incentive Programs (eg. Bonuses), L/T Incentive Programs (eg. Shares awards),

driving a culture of recognition and innovation.

Develop tailored remuneration packages (mix of fixed, variable and incentives) for specific aviation job families, Pilots, Cabin Crew, Engineers, Technicians, Sales, tied to specific business results, such as Load Factors, On-Time Performance and Revenue growth. Scalability is of essence.

Develop strategic insights of the Job market of aviation talent and direction to develop reward strategies, to ensure MAG rewards remain market competitive to attract and retain talent, at the same time cost competitive.

Use Data Analytics to develop reward programs that are impactful, whilst balancing with our budgets and aligned with our People strategies.

Map internal job titles with external markets aligned with external surveys to maintain relevancy and currency of job functions.

Raise the level of Rewards Competencies of HCBPs, Business Unit Leaders & Management to help drive the Reward policies.

Enhance Employees awareness, understanding and appreciation of the Total Value of Rewards provided by the Company (value proposition).

Maintain relationships and network with external professional advisors, specialists, consultants and industry peers. Gain market latest, best practices, insights, trends and benchmarks.

Conducts annual benchmarking of pay ranges and recommend changes where relevant and necessary to ensure MAG remains a competitive employer.

Builds and maintains base salary pay ranges for international stations that allow us to attract, retain and reward for performance in line with local regulations.

Plays an Advisory role for Rewards in Collective Agreement negotiations

Works with Senior Management to ensure Rewards programmes support their business objectives and meet all legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Human Resource Management or related


Special / Professional Certificate : Total Rewards Certification programmes


More than 10 years experience in Human Resource, with more than 5 years experience in Managerial Role.


Skills & Knowledge

Direct experience in Compensation & Benefits Roles. Within Professional Services Providers (Consulting & Advisory), as well as Corporate (Practice).

Experience in Rewards Role, with skills and knowledge of Rewards Development and Management, including Rewards Framework, Incentives schemes, Senior Executive schemes, STIP, LTIP, Share awards. Experience in remuneration cost modelling, incorporating best market practices in Rewards Management.

Possesses a deep understanding of progressive compensation and benefits, employee mobility and duty of care practices, including benchmarking, job mapping, compensation & benefits administration.

Strong comprehension of the Labour Law in Malaysia and foreign countries with MAG International Stations existence.
