Lead the future of Aircraft Maintenance Planning
British Airways is seeking an experienced and motivated Planning team leader to join its Operational maintenance planning team. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team of Planning Engineers responsible for developing efficient, compliant, and cost-effective maintenance plans across the airline's fleet.
As a key member of the Engineering division, you will play an important role in ensuring operational excellence, fleet compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting the airline's commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Planning Engineers, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Oversee maintenance planning activities to maintain fleet compliance and operational readiness.
Coordinate engineering activities related to defect clearance and maintenance delivery.
Monitor operational performance and provide reports, recommendations, and insights to senior stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure successful delivery of maintenance plans within agreed objectives and budgets.
Support the planning and execution of operational events to maximize aircraft availability and maintenance opportunities.
Work closely with Operations and Tactical Planning teams to align strategic and operational goals.
Ensure adherence to company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability across the team.
