HIRING FOR

Back End Developer

Location: Schiphol, North Holland, Netherlands

About the Job

As a Backend Developer at Transavia you are a professionally strong team player who knows how to find out and translate the wishes of stakeholders (or the question behind the wish). You define solutions that match what end users expect and that comply with Transavia's development and design frameworks. You draw up requirements, develop software, test and perform application support engineering.

Monitoring the quality of the products and services throughout the entire life cycle (from idea to end-of-life) is your responsibility. You set up quality assurance by setting up, maintaining and monitoring tests in a CI/CD environment.

Context

Transavia IT works with DevOps teams. The IT Area Lead is your manager and every day you work closely with your team members, the Product Owner, Domain Architect and Agile Coach. The teams are as self-organizing as possible. They shape their own purpose and product/service scope from a strategic framework. All teams work through the Agile way of working. Transavia's development strategy is to become an organization that benefits from change. That is why we invest in all employees (knowledge, skills, but also attitude and behaviour) and we strive for continuous improvement.

As a Developer you work for us in the commercial heart of Transavia, the 'Domain Customer & Proposition'. Your team ensures the best possible website for our passengers. Everything to enable our customers to book a ticket, to obtain information and various digital services and to arrange matters concerning their booking themselves. Think, for example, of changing your flight online, adding products or checking in online. For this team we are looking for a Backend Developer who is familiar with deploying digital services in various channels. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that also includes Frontend and Backend Developers, Tech leads and Business Analysts.

Transavia IT

Transavia's IT organization consists of about 180 colleagues with different backgrounds and nationalities. The working language in the teams is generally English. Together with them, you provide the technology that helps Transavia to give our passengers and colleagues an awesome experience in the journey they make with or with us. Safe, innovative and trusted. We do this by putting our people and our teams first, relying on craftsmanship and the need to continuously surprise both ourselves and our customers by wanting to become even better (let's out do ourselves). Experimenting and performing are side by side with us and you feel comfortable with that!
