Reports To: Crew Operations Duty Manager

The job holder will supervise the operations of the unit during every shift to ensure the

effective control and adjustment of the Cathay Pacific Group (Cathay Pacific (CX) and Air Hong Kong (LD)) crew rosters in compliance with legal and Company requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the Cathay Group crew movements and adjusting crew duties to meet

changing operational needs in a legal, efficient and cost effective manner.

• Evaluate the crew strengths constantly to ensure that adequate and appropriate

cockpit and cabin crew are available to fulfill additional operational needs.

• Provide crew deployment solutions proactively for CX and LD to Integrated

Operations Center (IOC) during the decision making process in times of disruptions

 a timely manner.

• Provide coverage within IOC of CX and LD crew related schedule both on the day of operation and any period prior to the day of operation as deemed necessary.

 

• Cross checking and adjusting crew rosters to ensure overtime payment of CX and LD crew can be minimized.

 

• Provide proactive and responsive feedback to CX and LD crew inquiries proactively during operations to ensure crew roster related issues can be resolved efficiently and effectively.

• Assisting the Crew Operations Duty Manager to ensure effective running of the Crew
  
  

Operations units while meeting deadlines, cost targets and responding to changes.

• Maintaining technical knowledge required.

• Representing the section in meeting as directed by Crew Operations Manager.
  
  

Deputizing in the absence of Crew Operations Duty Manager.

• Shift duty include overnight shift required.

Requirements:

• Tertiary educated, preferably in aviation related subjects or disciplines.

• Good command of both spoken and written English.

• A strong team leader and a good team player.

• Strong ability to cope with changes with appreciation of rapidly changing environment

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with strong analytical and logical
  
  

mindset.

• Ability to compile reports from various data sources to assist decision making would
  
  

be advantageous.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a crew resource management environment.

• Good Understanding of Approved Flight Time Limitations Scheme (AFTLS) and Rostering Practices is a definite advantage
