 Airlines Hiring in Singapore Airlines

@Rumana Maner

Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Singapore with its hub located at Singapore Changi Airport. The airline is notable for highlighting the Singapore Girl as its central figure in the corporate branding segment. It has been ranked as the world's best airline by Skytrax four times and topped Travel & Leisure's best airline rankings for more than 20 years.

Singapore Airlines Group has more than 20 subsidiaries, including numerous airline-related subsidiaries. SIA Engineering Company handles maintenance, repair and overall (MRO) business across nine countries with a portfolio of 27 joint ventures including with Boeing and Rolls-Royce. Singapore Airlines Cargo operates SIA's freighter fleet and manages the cargo-hold capacity in SIA's passenger aircraft. Scoot, a wholly owned subsidiary, operates as a low-cost carrier.

Singapore Airlines was the first launch customer for the Airbus A380 — the world's largest passenger aircraft — as well as the Boeing 787-10 and the ultra-long-range version of the Airbus A350-900. It ranks amongst the top 15 carriers worldwide in terms of revenue passenger kilometres and is ranked tenth in the world for international passengers carried. Singapore Airlines was voted as the Skytrax World's Best Airline Cabin Crew 2019. The airline has also won the second and fourth positions as the World's Best Airlines and World's Cleanest Airlines respectively in 2019.

Singapore Airlines

If you’d like to begin your vacation the moment you step on board the plane, you should consider flying Singapore Airlines.

First formed in 1972, Singapore’s flag carrier airline is best known for its multiple travel accolades and impeccable service standards, embodied in its kebaya (traditional nonya dress)-clad flight attendants (famously known as the Singapore Girl).

Stellar service is just one of a host of reasons that makes Singapore Airlines a world-class travel brand. The airline is also famous for luxurious flight experiences across cabin classes, with state-of-the-art entertainment options, spacious cabins and a commitment to making flying a personal experience. The airlines’ international culinary panel—which comprises eight chefs from all around the globe—are constantly whipping up new dishes to delight the taste buds of passengers onboard.

Singapore Airlines’ globally acclaimed standards have won the organisation multiple awards, ranging from a place on Fortune Magazine’s list of Top 50 Most Admired Companies in 2021 to being awarded the Highest Diamond Rating in the APEX Health Safety powered by Simplifying audit of global airlines

Together with its budget carrier arm, Scoot, Singapore Airlines operates a fleet of more than 180 aircraft, with a combined passenger network that spans more than 110 destinations. Which means that no matter where you are across the globe, you’re never far from the Lion City.

Stellar service is just one of a host of reasons

If you plan to apply for job openings at Singapore Airlines, you should first familiarise yourself with Singapore’s hiring requirements and pay so you can maximise your airline career. Skills, experience, and hours logged impact wages for both captain and first officer positions, therefore it is wise to always compare entry level pilot salary to the average to get a better idea of the rewards and opportunities provided through Singapore Airlines careers.  How much do pilots earn is usually the first question applicants ask, but these jobs offer benefits beyond the pay, which is why you need to research everything from hiring requirements to income to other perks of the job.
