Cockpit Crew Pilots Hiring Cathay Pacific Airways:
Cathay Pacific:
Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier and the biggest airline in all of Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific offers lucrative options to work in one of the most dynamic locations around the world, where its main hub is located - Hong Kong. While it struggled for the past few years, Cathay Pacific has managed to turn around its operational issues and become profitable once more.
5 initial shareholders established Cathay Pacific in 1946 as a freighter airline. A Douglas DC-3 with the nickname Betsy began the first flights for the airline. The name Cathay Pacific was chosen because Cathay was the historical name of China and Pacific because one of the founders had a vision that the airline would fly across the Pacific. Nowadays the airline transfers passengers and cargo, serving close to 200 destinations available for parcels and passengers alike. The airline operates a fleet of over 200 aircraft both by Boeing and Airbus, which are all wide-body.
The airline is one of the few carriers around the world operating an all wide-body fleet. Cathay Pacific's wide-body fleet size makes it one of the biggest airlines in the world in terms of the potential passengers it can carry. In 2018, the airline carried over 35 million passengers around the world. Cathay Pacific is one of the founding members of one world alliance. The company owns a subsidiary Cathay Dragon, which is an international regional airline, serving mainland China and the rest of SouthEast Asia. Cathay Pacific is always looking for young, talented and motivated people to join their ranks.
The carrier is one of the biggest employers in Hong Kong, as Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon employ over 20 thousand people. So if you are looking to take your career to the next level, consider joining the airline. Career options are available for Pilots, Cabin Crew and Engineers.
