Passenger Services Agent American Airlines (Entry-Level to Experienced)

Reports To: Station Manager / Supervisor Ground Operations

Our ground staff team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth airport operations and superior passenger service.as a Ground Staff member at American Airlines, you will be responsible for providing world-class assistance to passengers at various stages of their journey — from check-in to boarding, baggage handling to flight dispatch coordination. You will ensure safety, service quality, and on-time performance in a fast-paced airport environment.
Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Assist passengers with check-in, ticketing, and boarding procedures
Handle special requests, including wheelchair assistance, unaccompanied minors, and language support
Provide accurate flight and gate information and resolve customer queries promptly
Ramp & Baggage Handling (if assigned):
Load and unload luggage, cargo, and airmail
Operate ground service equipment (GSE) safely and efficiently
Ensure proper baggage tagging, sorting, and transportation to aircraft
Operational Coordination:
Communicate with flight crews, dispatch, and gate agents for smooth aircraft turnaround
Conduct safety checks and comply with TSA and FAA regulations
Assist with aircraft marshaling, cleaning, and ground support
Crisis & Irregularities Handling:
Manage delays, rebookings, cancellations, and disrupted travel with empathy and professionalism
Follow protocols during emergencies or security alerts
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred (for supervisory roles)
Experience:
Previous airline or customer service experience is a plus
Experience working in fast-paced environments preferred
Skills & Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays
Physically fit to lift heavy luggage and operate equipment
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
Fluent in English (multilingual candidates preferred)
