Air New Zealand is actively seeking expressions of interest from qualified pilots eager to join our esteemed turboprop fleets. The opportunity awaits for individuals aspiring to occupy the First Officer position, where they will be seated in the right-hand position of either an ATR or a Dash 8 Q300 aircraft.
Within our turboprop fleets, entry into the First Officer role is the starting point, with positions available at multiple bases across the country. This presents a unique chance for individuals to embark on a career in propeller-driven aviation or to establish a pathway towards transitioning into our jet fleet. As a First Officer operating a Dash 8 Q300 or an ATR, one will assume a pivotal role in the seamless transportation of our valued customers to their respective destinations.
Applicants are encouraged to explore this exciting opportunity that combines the thrill of flying with the prospect of career advancement within a renowned airline. The First Officer role in our turboprop fleets is not just a job; it is a gateway to a fulfilling and dynamic career in aviation.
To be eligible for consideration in this exciting opportunity, candidates are required to satisfy the following prerequisites:
1.Hold a NZCAA Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
2.Possess a NZCAA Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR).
3.Maintain a valid NZCAA Class 1 Medical Certification.
4.Accumulate a minimum of 500 hours of total flight time.
5.Log at least 25 night flight hours.
6.Attain a minimum of 40 hours of Instrument Flight Time.
7.Possess NZCAA BTK/BGT endorsements.
8.Hold University Entrance or its equivalent.
9.Demonstrate Level 6 English Language Proficiency.
10.Be a New Zealand resident, permanent resident, citizen, or an Australian citizen.
11.Exhibit the ability to travel internationally, including holding a valid passport with required visas.
