Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Specialist to join our team.

🚀 Role Overview:

As a Safety Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying operational safety threats, conducting investigations, and analysing occurrences. Your recommendations will contribute to enhancing operational integrity techniques, processes, and company systems. Engage with stakeholders to promote safety initiatives, support safety training and communication, and foster a strong Safety and Reporting Culture.

👨‍✈️ Candidate Profile:

Background as Flight Crew, preferably in a multi-crew environment
Knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks and compliance
Experience in safety investigations and audits is preferred
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Understanding of SMS and risk management

🚀 Key Responsibilities:

Identify Opportunities: Manage, identify, and communicate quality, operational safety, and business improvement opportunities in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert, providing specialist education, data, and investigation input to operational areas and external aviation organisations.
Continuous Improvement: Review and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of operational safety processes, procedures, and enact preventative measures for effective service provision.
Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in regulatory standards, company policy, and global safety trends to ensure compliance and prioritise actions for meeting regulations and standards.
Training and Development: Develop and deliver quality/safety systems training for staff to uphold high standards of safety and compliance.
Safety Occurrence Analysis: Analyse and investigate operational safety occurrences, providing timely recommendations for addressing root causes and mitigating risks.
Stakeholder Relationships: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective relationships to identify and manage hazards.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyse processes and data, prepare reports and presentations to support risk-based business decision-making.
Audit and Investigation: Plan and conduct audits and investigations in accordance with company procedures, identifying root causes, making recommendations for improvements, and tracking corrective actions.
Business Planning: Contribute to effective annual business plans, managing costs, revenues, and suppliers to ensure ongoing commercial viability.
Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of all people, assets, systems, and procedures within the area of responsibility.

✨ Qualifications:

Applicable aviation licence or equivalent.
Qualified Auditor.

🌐 Skills:

Strong communication and influencing skills.
Proficient in Safety Management System elements, Reason Model, Just Culture Algorithm, and investigation protocols.
Experience in continuous improvement, risk management, and audit processes.

📚 Education and Experience:

Relevant aviation licence or equivalent.
Qualified Auditor.
