Purpose of the Position:
The Crew Communications Manager plays a vital role in facilitating two-way communication between Wizz Air’s Corporate Communications department and the crew. The position involves engaging cabin crew and flight deck employees, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication across the organization. The Crew Communications Manager will work closely with HR, legal departments, and Operations to ensure alignment of messaging and initiatives.
This role reports directly to the Head of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
Communication Strategy:
Ensure a continuous flow of strategic, operational, and organizational updates to the crew while actively responding to questions and feedback.
Drive crew engagement at the AOC, country, and base levels, ensuring a strong dialogue between management and crew members.
Platform Management:
Oversee the management of dedicated crew communication pages on Facebook Workplace, ensuring it remains the primary source of Wizz-related news, and continually focus on increasing engagement with the platform.
Support and Messaging:
Collaborate with various departments to support crew and operations communication needs. Define key messages, create speaking points for line management, and organize town halls and Q&A sessions.
Consistency Across Channels:
Ensure crew communication templates and materials are consistently up to date and aligned with Wizz Air's brand guidelines across different bases and AOCs.
Face-to-Face Communication:
Foster strong face-to-face communication by involving cabin operations and flight operations management in crew discussions and updates.
Digital Content Creation:
Support digital content creation to enhance crew communication and engagement.
Crisis Communications:
Partner with the Internal Communications Manager to manage communication during crises, advising management and updating communication strategies to protect the company’s reputation.
Key Requirements:
Educational Background:
Completed degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal communications, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or employer branding.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong interpersonal, networking, and communication skills.
Solid writing skills with the ability to create engaging and concise content.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Experience managing social media platforms, particularly Facebook Workplace, is an advantage.
Personal Attributes:
Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work as a team player.
Quick thinker who is resourceful, flexible, and responsive in dealing with people.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Availability for international travel up to 20% of the time.
