Summary:
The Tax Manager will assist the Vice President of Taxation in managing the company’s income Tax compliance and provision processes. The role requires overseeing Tax provisions, managing Tax compliance, and working on Tax audits and special projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Tax accounting and Tax compliance.
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US as per the Immigration Act of 1986.
Criminal Background Check: Must pass a background check.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication (technical and non-technical).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of: ASC 740, federal and state income Tax regulations, non-income Tax compliance.
Software: Microsoft Excel, OneSource Income Tax, OneSource Tax Provision, SQL, SAP, Sage Premier Depreciation.
Education: Master’s Degree in Tax or Accounting.
Job Duties:
Tax Accounting:
Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual Tax provisions.
Support internal and external auditors during Tax provision reviews and audits.
Ensure compliance with Tax laws and ASC 740.
Oversee COSO framework and SOX compliance in Tax reporting.
Income Tax Compliance:
Prepare/review federal and state income Tax returns.
Coordinate with Tax advisors for timely filing of Tax returns.
Oversee federal and state extensions and quarterly Tax payments.
Tax Audits and Special Projects:
Assist with ongoing Tax audits and special projects.
Conduct Tax research and provide strategy recommendations for future corporate activities.
Fixed Assets:
Calculate federal and state Tax depreciation for fixed assets using Tax depreciation software.
Other Duties:
Support withholding and information reporting requirements.
Mentor direct reports and foster their professional growth.
Model customer service standards for the department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, reach, stoop, and operate office equipment for extended periods.
May need to lift or carry up to 20 lbs.
Occasional travel required.
Ability to work various shifts/days and in a business office environment with moderate noise.
