Job Purpose:
The Sales Manager for Azerbaijan will be responsible for driving the company's commercial objectives within the region by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and enhancing the visibility of the Air Arabia brand. The role will focus on growing revenue and market share while ensuring that sales productivity is aligned with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Lead the GSA sales team to identify new business channels, travel agencies, and markets to increase sales and revenue based on market trends and the Air Arabia product offering.
Sales Strategy: Work closely with the Area Manager to provide input and recommendations, translating sales team feedback into actionable strategies based on cost-benefit analysis.
Target Achievement: Develop and drive sales targets, performance objectives, and productivity measures for the sales team within the assigned territory.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly analyze financial data to evaluate sales performance, identify shortfalls, and implement corrective measures to address gaps in revenue.
Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as travel agencies, government entities, tourism organizations, and individual trade partners, to enhance sales and brand visibility.
Customer Satisfaction: Tailor Air Arabia’s products and services to the specific needs of the Azerbaijan market, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective offers and partnerships.
Market Insights: Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to evaluate flight performance, fare structures, and identify new route opportunities, presenting them to management with detailed business cases.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and train the sales team to ensure high performance and adherence to sales targets and company objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Additional qualifications in Aviation, IATA, or Tourism are an advantage.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
A valid Driver’s License is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales or commercial management role within the airline, hospitality, or travel industry.
In-depth knowledge of the Azerbaijan travel market and its travel agents.
Proven track record of increasing and sustaining sales growth and profitability.
Strong skills in data analysis, identifying issues, and recommending cost-effective solutions.
Experience in building relationships with key clients and government authorities.
Expertise in sales and marketing techniques with a cost-oriented approach.
Experience in leading, training, and managing sales teams to achieve targets.
Preferred Skills:
Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
Ability to blend technical expertise with strategic leadership.
Proven capability in implementing new sales concepts and initiatives that align with company objectives.
