Programme Manager – Technology and Transformation at Virgin Atlantic , UK
Role Overview:
Virgin Atlantic is looking for a Programme Manager to join our Technology and Transformation team. In this key role, you will manage cross-functional programmes, ensuring the successful execution of high-value projects that align with our strategic business objectives. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders, including the CEO, EVP, and SVP, using your expertise in programme delivery, change management, and outcome realisation to drive transformation and customer success.
This role focuses on programme transformation, continuous improvement, and project operational support. If you're passionate about delivering impactful change in a dynamic environment, we'd love to have you on board!
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Delivery: Provide high-level programme management expertise to align projects with business goals and strategic outcomes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business owners and stakeholders at all levels to ensure smooth programme execution and implementation.
Team Leadership: Manage a team of delivery resources in a matrix environment, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilisation.
Communication: Exhibit exceptional communication skills to influence and manage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Project Execution: Deliver complex change projects with a focus on quality outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Transformation Management: Navigate and manage the complexities of large-scale transformation programmes in a fast-paced industry.
About You:
Programme Management Expertise: Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects with a typical value of £5m+.
Change Management: Strong background in change management, project management tools, and methodologies for outcome delivery.
Certification: Programme Management Certification is required.
Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, especially within a matrix environment.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage relationships with senior executives (CEO/EVP/SVP).
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with technology and transformation initiatives in large organisations is essential. Understanding of the airline industry is a plus but not required.
