Overview:
Air New Zealand is seeking skilled and experienced Aircraft Engineers to join the Components Maintenance team in Auckland. The role focuses on providing maintenance services for both Air New Zealand and customer aircraft components in various mechanical and avionics/electrical workshops.
Workshops:
The successful candidates will work in one of the following workshops:
Safety Workshop (Mechanical)
Wheels & Brakes (Mechanical)
Avionics/Electrical
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out aircraft component maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks meet safety, quality, and operational standards.
Adhere to on-time performance (OTP) and turnaround time (TAT) targets, maintaining high-quality service under tight deadlines.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards in a highly controlled environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet strategic goals, such as Aircraft Delivery targets .Uphold the highest health and safety standards, ensuring risk management and operational integrity.
Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
Essential Requirements:
Qualification: NZ Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or an internationally recognized equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience in aircraft mechanical or avionics/electrical maintenance, particularly in components.
Teamwork: Strong teamwork abilities and a results-oriented approach.
Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills with strong communication and time management abilities.
Health & Safety: Commitment to Health & Safety standards and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Continuous Improvement: Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S.
Desired Qualities:
A self-motivated individual who can thrive under pressure.
Ability to communicate effectively and interact with a diverse range of colleagues and customers.
Strong understanding of aircraft systems and components.
A keen focus on maintaining safety without compromising operational or quality standards.
