Job Description:
The Crew Support Officer is responsible for assisting the Line Manager in managing third-party services, including Ground Handling Agents, efficiently and in compliance with GCAA regulations and Royal Jet policies. The primary objective is to minimize direct operating costs while ensuring high operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Flight Planning Support: Coordinate with the Line Manager and Section Head during the planning of flights to ensure smooth operations.
Contract & Pricing Negotiations: Assist in negotiating contracts and pricing with ground handling agents and Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) for cost-effective solutions.
Vendor Coordination: Identify and liaise with FBOs, Ground Handling Agents, and Airport Authorities to ensure efficient flight operations.
Database Management: Assist in updating the AIMS system with relevant information about Ground Handling Agents.
AOG Support: Coordinate with the Maintenance and Logistics team to provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support.
Communication & Pricing: Assist the Line Manager in communicating with Ground Handling Agents regarding pricing updates and queries.
Invoice Coordination: Work closely with the Finance team to resolve invoice-related issues.
Reporting Support: Assist with safety reports, captain’s reports, and cabin crew voyage reports.
Dangerous Goods Coordination: Work with Post Holders to ensure the acceptance of Dangerous Goods compliant with IATA regulations.
Flight Operations Assistance: Help resolve issues that arise during flights at outstations, including any necessary updates regarding diversions, delays, or cancellations.
On-Time Performance (OTP) Data: Collect data on outstation departures related to ground handling agents to ensure on-time performance.
Pricing Comparison & SLA Management: Generate pricing comparison reports for ground handling services at various airports and assist with the signing of Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation and airport operations.
Strong knowledge of ground handling operations and aviation logistics.
Education:
Diploma in Aviation or Business Administration (Preferred).
IATA Diploma in Aviation Ground Handling (an added advantage).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with IATA Dangerous Goods regulations.
Advanced knowledge of ground handling operations.
Other Skills:
Strong communication skills, with fluency in English.
Excellent planning, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to handle operational restrictions and capacity management for Royal Jet’s fleet.
Knowledge of policy development and implementation.
