Training:
It's an exciting moment to be an Allegiant Pilot. As an all-Airbus fleet, our dedication to training has never been stronger. We have two cutting-edge training facilities to support this, one in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the other in Sanford, Florida. Because we want the best from our workforce, each of our facilities include both flight simulators and training classes. We give you with all of the resources you need to succeed, whether through in-person training or interactive online classes.
Expect to spend between 10 and 12 weeks in training:
Ground School lasts six weeks.2 weeks of Systems Integration Training-2-3 weeks for full flight simulator.

• Familiarity with the duties and responsibilities of the Captain.
• Proactively bring safety-related information to the Captain's attention.
• Report any deviations from standard operating procedures to the Captain.
• Be knowledgeable about weather, payload, fuel, and other relevant flight factors.
• Conduct necessary checks on avionics, flight instruments, systems, and fuel quantity.
• Report mechanical discrepancies to the Captain.
• Prepare the load manifest, ensuring proper weight and balance computations.
• Operate the aircraft or assist the Captain as directed.
• Verify completion of each checklist.
• Monitor ATC clearances and ensure the Captain understands accepted clearances.
• Assist in securing the aircraft when necessary at the end of the flight.

Pilot - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate plane equipment (i.e. flight deck computers, plane doors, emergency equipment, etc.). May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Travel is a requirement of the role.
