JOB OPPORTUNITY:

For the Position of Ground Handling Staff at Air Chathams in New Zealand

They are currently seeking enthusiastic team members to join our ground handling team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for aircraft ground handling and loading.

Position Details:

Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week, with shifts typically scheduled between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including weekends.
Flexibility: Must be adaptable as you may need to stay later in the event of flight disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide ground handling services for Air Chathams' aircraft according to a roster.
Perform tasks including aircraft loading, fuelling, and cleaning.
Maintain safety and efficiency at Whanganui Airport.
Report safety or operational concerns to managers.
Identify and report health and safety hazards and operational risks.

Ideal Candidate:

Energetic, proactive, and resourceful.
A team player who builds strong working relationships.
Flexible and able to stay later if flight disruptions occur.
Capable of assisting with baggage handling, aircraft de-icing, and loading/unloading freight.
Able to work under pressure with strong organizational and time management skills.
Attentive to detail with a good safety culture.

Additional Information:

Training, vehicle parking, protective equipment, and uniform will be provided.
The aviation industry can be unpredictable; staying calm and confident under pressure while being versatile will enhance passenger experience during disruptions.
