Job Opening for Ground Handling Staff at Air Chathams, Auckland, Auckland
Air Chathams, a leading New Zealand airline, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Ground Handling Staff at our Auckland base. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced aviation environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a positive and memorable experience throughout their journey.
Assist with passenger check-in, boarding, and baggage handling processes, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with other departments, including flight operations, cabin crew, and maintenance, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Assist with aircraft marshaling, towing, and parking, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections of the aircraft, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next flight.
Handle and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo and mail, ensuring proper weight distribution and adherence to safety protocols.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as refueling, cleaning, and restocking of aircraft supplies.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in ground handling operations.
Requirements:
Previous experience in ground handling or customer service roles within the aviation industry is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, as per operational requirements.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Knowledge of aviation safety and security regulations is an advantage.
A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Valid driver's license is preferred.
