Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety and Emergency Procedures:
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of safety procedures, including emergency exits, evacuation protocols, and first aid procedures. Conduct pre-flight safety demonstrations and assist passengers with safety-related inquiries or concerns.
2. Customer Service:
Provide friendly, attentive, and personalized service to passengers, addressing their needs and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Offer assistance with boarding, seating, luggage storage, and other passenger-related tasks.
3. In-Flight Operations:
Perform cabin checks to ensure all equipment, supplies, and amenities are properly stocked and in working order. Assist with meal and beverage service, including serving meals, snacks, and beverages to passengers according to airline standards.
4. Cabin Management:
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the cabin throughout the flight, including seat arrangements, lavatories, and common areas. Coordinate with other cabin crew members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to schedule.
5. Communication:
Maintain clear and effective communication with flight crew members, ground staff, and other relevant parties to facilitate smooth operations and address any issues or concerns that may arise during the flight.
6. Emergency Response:
Be prepared to respond calmly and effectively to in-flight emergencies or unexpected situations, following established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and crew.
7. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by American Airlines, as well as applicable aviation authorities, to maintain the highest standards of safety, security, and customer service.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight flights.
- Must meet all requirements for eligibility to work as a cabin crew member, including passing a background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
