Delta Air Lines is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cockpit Crew Pilots Hiring Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that Delta recruits, assesses, and hires highly qualified pilots to maintain our standards of excellence in safety, service, and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Selection:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top pilot talent.
Conduct thorough screening and assessment of pilot applications to ensure candidates meet Delta’s rigorous standards.
Coordinate and conduct interviews, simulator evaluations, and other assessment processes.
Candidate Experience:
Provide an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
Communicate regularly with candidates to keep them informed about their application status and next steps.
Foster a positive and professional image of Delta Air Lines throughout the hiring process.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all hiring processes comply with FAA regulations and Delta’s internal policies.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all candidate interactions and assessment results.
Prepare and manage all necessary documentation and reports related to pilot hiring.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the HR team, flight operations, and other relevant departments to align recruitment efforts with organizational needs.
Partner with training and development teams to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into Delta’s training programs.
Participate in industry events and career fairs to promote Delta Air Lines and attract potential candidates.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in pilot recruitment and selection.
Identify opportunities to enhance the hiring process for efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement feedback from candidates and internal stakeholders to improve recruitment strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Aviation Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in recruitment, preferably in the aviation industry.
Strong understanding of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR technologies.
