The Position of First Officer (Pilot) in the Flight Operations department at Jetstar Airline.

As Jetstar's First Officer, you'll co-pilot Airbus A320s. Your focus is safety, so you'll assist the Captain in pre-flight checks, navigation, and monitoring aircraft systems. You'll also perform takeoffs, landings, and follow emergency procedures under the Captain's guidance. Teamwork is key, so you'll communicate clearly with the Captain and cabin crew to ensure a smooth flight for everyone on board.

Responsibilities:

Flight Operations:

Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all regulatory and company policies.

Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and protocols during all phases of flight.

Pre-Flight Duties:

Conduct pre-flight inspections, review flight plans, weather conditions, and ensure the aircraft is ready for departure.

In-Flight Duties: Monitor aircraft systems, communicate with air traffic control, and assist with navigation and operational control.

Post-Flight Duties:

Complete post-flight inspections, document any discrepancies, and ensure aircraft readiness for the next flight.

Crew Collaboration:

Work effectively with the flight crew, ground personnel, and cabin crew to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.

Emergency Response:

Be prepared to handle in-flight emergencies, execute emergency procedures, and ensure passenger safety at all times.

Qualifications:

Licensing:

Hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with a multi-engine instrument rating.

Medical Certification:

Possess a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.

Flight Experience:

Minimum required flight hours (as specified by Jetstar, typically around 1,500 hours total flight time).

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; higher education in aviation or related fields is advantageous.

Skills:

Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to work well under pressure.

Language:

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Eligibility:

Must have the right to live and work in the country of operation.

Preferred Experience:

Previous experience in commercial aviation, particularly with low-cost carriers.

Experience flying the aircraft types operated by Jetstar.
