The Position of Second Officer (Pilot) in the Flight Operations department at  Jetstar Airline.


As a Second Officer (Pilot) at Jetstar Airline, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flights. Working within the Flight Operations department, you will assist the Captain and First Officer in the cockpit, contributing to pre-flight planning, in-flight management, and post-flight duties. Key Responsibilities:


Assist in Flight Preparation: 

Collaborate with the flight crew to conduct thorough pre-flight planning, including reviewing flight plans, weather conditions, and aircraft performance data.


Support In-Flight Operations: 

Aid the Captain and First Officer during all phases of flight, including takeoff, cruise, and landing. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.


Monitor Aircraft Systems: 

Continuously monitor and report on the status of aircraft systems, fuel consumption, and navigation, providing timely updates to the flight crew.


Handle Communication: 

Maintain effective communication with air traffic control, ground crew, and passengers, relaying important information as needed.


Conduct Post-Flight Duties: 

Assist in post-flight inspections, debriefings, and the completion of flight logs and reports.


Enhance Safety and Efficiency: 

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of flight operations by participating in training sessions, safety briefings, and feedback discussions.


Qualifications:


Pilot License: 

Hold a valid commercial pilot license (CPL) with a multi-engine instrument rating.


Flight Experience: 

A minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time, with experience in multi-engine aircraft preferred.


Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aeronautical engineering, or a related field is advantageous.


Technical Skills: 

Proficiency in flight management systems, navigation instruments, and aviation communication protocols.


Language Proficiency: 

Excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Additional language skills are a plus.


Interpersonal Skills: 

Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure.


Additional Requirements:


Medical Certification: 

Maintain a current and valid Class 1 medical certificate.


Training Compliance: 

Successfully completed Jetstar's initial and recurrent training programs.


Flexibility: 

Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
