Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the safety and security of passengers and crew members during all phases of flight.
2. Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, including greeting passengers, assisting with seating arrangements, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
3. Conduct pre-flight safety demonstrations and provide instructions on emergency procedures.
4. Assist passengers with stowing carry-on luggage and ensuring compliance with cabin safety regulations.
5. Serve meals, beverages, and snacks to passengers during the flight, adhering to service standards and dietary restrictions.
6. Monitor cabin conditions and respond to passenger requests promptly and professionally.
7. Coordinate with the flight deck crew and other cabin crew members to ensure efficient operation of the flight.
8. Perform regular cabin checks to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.
9. Handle any in-flight emergencies or medical situations with calmness and professionalism.
10. Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
1. Minimum age of 18 years old.
2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team environment and remain calm under pressure.
5. Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to help others.
6. Physical fitness and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
7. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
8. Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered an asset.
9. Previous experience in customer service or hospitality industry preferred but not required.
10. Successful completion of flight attendant training program provided by Virgin Australia.
