Job Purpose
To provide fleet technical management, continuing Airworthiness management, and technical support functions for the Emirates fleet to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, reliability, passenger comfort, and cost effectiveness.
Job Outline:
Provide fleet technical management, continuing Airworthiness management, and technical support functions for the assigned sections, i.e., the Aircraft, structures, avionics, powerplant, and cabin interior.
Routinely evaluate manufacturers/regulatory authorities? technical documents, taking appropriate actions, and updating internal engineering documents, including engineering orders and special engineering work cards.
Review in-service data (e.g., tech logs, pilot reports, defects) and implement actions to improve fleet, engine, component, and/or system reliability and maintainability, including optimization of Aircraft maintenance programs.
Act as a technical liaison with Aircraft, engines, and/or component manufacturers and internal stakeholders (e.g., flight operations, service delivery) to address fleet-significant faults, defects, design issues, and quality escapements.
Provide appropriate technical support and expertise in the acquisition of new Aircraft and end-of-lease activities.
Provide technical clarifications and justifications to internal stakeholders in support of cost optimization, contract negotiation, repAir, and modification processes.
Deliver technical assistance and operational support in disruption scenarios, including the handling of technical/AOG, troubleshooting, Aircraft chronic and deferred defects, and technical delays.
Deliver support to project functions related to major modifications, retrofits, cabin reconfigurations, and Aircraft phase out requirements.
Review and analyze technical data in support of the department ? KPIs, highlighting trends and making recommendation reports or proposals for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
Engineering. Other: 5+ Years
Degree or Honors (12+3 or equivalent):
Experience in Engineering and Aeronautical
Knowledge/skills:
Degree in: Aeronautical/Mechanical/Avionics/Electrical Engineering and/or holder of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence for 5 years.
Related Aircraft engineering experience.
Should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the technical services function.
knowledge of the latest technical developments and industry trends on respective systems.
Ability to analyze and synthesize technical information for implementation in cost-effective ways.
Excellent drafting and report-writing skills.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex tasks and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
