Your brilliant benefits
The full package
We think working as Virgin Atlantic cabin crew is awesome enough already. They work hard and play even harder so we know our fantastic colleagues deserve more than a few perks here and there.
We offer a very competitive basic salary which includes base pay, trip pay, and any commission. In addition to those earnings, you will also be given cash allowances down route to cover subsistence.
Your uniform
The “Viv” is our iconic Vivienne Westwood uniform, and we wear it with incredible pride. After all, there’s nothing like a splash of red to make you stand out from the crowd.
But it’s not just about looking good. Made using technology that takes worn polyester clothing to turn it into new fabric, and elements from recycled plastic bottles, you’ll be looking fabulous while doing good for the planet.
Times have changed since our glamourous beginnings in 1984, and while we still do things in true Virgin Atlantic style, our uniform guidelines have been designed to offer increased comfort and more choice on how you want to express yourself at work
Your wellbeing
We all have times when life gets on top of us – sometimes that’s work-related, like a challenging flight or revising for training and exams. Or it might be something else entirely – our health, our relationships, or our circumstances.
There are many upsides to working as cabin crew, traveling the world, staying in fabulous hotels, and the camaraderie with your Virgin Atlantic colleagues. It’s one of the most sociable, amazing, wonderful jobs you can do. But it can also feel quite isolating, especially if you’re feeling vulnerable or low in another country alone in your room.
That’s why we have a team of trained and compassionate mental health first aiders across all areas of our airline who are always ready to offer advice and support, so you’re never far from someone you can talk to.
This scheme is one part of a wider package of benefits that we have in place that cares for your mental, physical and financial wellbeing.
