To qualify as a Direct Entry First Officer Pilot for the A320/1 with Jetstar Airways in Australia, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Possession of either an Australian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Australian ATPL Theory subjects successfully completed.
Holding an Australian Multi-Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with 2D and 3D endorsements.
Maintenance of a current Class 1 medical certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
Demonstration of proficiency in English language communication at ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6.
Possession of a current passport with at least 12 months of validity, granting unrestricted access to all Jetstar ports of call.
Experience in a multi-crew operation or successful completion of a multi-crew cooperation course.
Ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical examinations.
Capability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test as part of the employment screening process.
Holding or being eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
Holding relevant Australian permanent residency status or possessing an unrestricted right to work in Australia.
In addition, Direct Entry First Officer Positions require:
1000 minimum hours of total flying time
500 minimum hours flown in multi-crew, multi-engine jet aircraft missing an unrestricted right to work in Australia.
