Task Overview:
As a Product Owner - Booking at Etihad Airways, you will help shape and improve the booking experience for our customers. You will own and manage the booking platform's product roadmap, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide new solutions that fulfill customer expectations and drive business objectives.
The Background:
This position reports to the Senior Product Manager. The Product Owner is in charge of defining and ranking the user stories in the team backlog. They oversee quality control and ensure that the stories produced match the stipulated acceptance standards.
They will act as the customer's representative and assist the Product Manager in developing the product vision and plan.
This position is a key member of the agile scrum team. They will collaborate with one to two scrum teams to ensure that the team understands the required features and functionality of the products to be delivered in each iteration.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop the product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
• Review and evaluate the team stack as part of iteration planning, including managing dependencies with other Product Owners. Responsible for accepting the final iteration plan.
• Continuously optimize the backlog with the team, ensuring that all tasks are clearly stated, estimated, and scheduled.
•Ensure that the scrum team understands the necessary features and functionality to be delivered in each iteration.
• In charge of detailing features and user stories, along with acceptance criteria and acceptance tests.
• Responsible for the acceptance of features and user stories, which includes validating that the stories match the acceptance criteria, persistent acceptance tests, and compliance with the Definition of Done (DoD).
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to schedule regular demos with the team, ensuring that the most important aspects are demonstrated to stakeholders.
• Facilitate iteration retrospectives and lead discussions on how to enhance velocity and quality.
Schooling & Knowledge:
• At least 3 years of experience in product development or as a product owner.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent is required.
• Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with Agile development approaches, such as SAFe, Scrum, and Lean Portfolio Management.
• Successfully defined, delivered, and launched products.
• Proven ability to drive solutions based on technical and business operations understanding.
• Experience developing the vision and strategy for a technological product.
• Recognised as an active team player, with great communication and coordination abilities, because this function demands working with multiple teams across the business.
