An opportunity has arisen to join the Flight Safety team at Jet2.com as a Flight Safety Analyst - FDM. Allowing the successful candidate to develop their career in aviation by becoming part of a fast-paced environment, helping to contribute towards improving flight safety at Jet2.com and playing an important part in the promotion of the Just Culture.
Working on a rostered but office hours basis, this is a hybrid role, with work based in Low Fare Finder House at Leeds-Bradford Airport and also working from home.
What you’ll be doing:
· Administering the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programme, ensuring the aircraft data is captured in the FDM system and analysed in a timely manner.
· Utilising FDM data to analyse aerodrome and aircraft fleet trends to understand where safety risk lies within our operation.
· Updating and programming of FDM events to ensure all relevant fleet events are captured as part of the wider FDM programme.
· Conducting reviews of safety reports submitted through the company Safety Management System, including both internal and external stakeholders.
· Analyse aerodrome and aircraft fleet trends to understand where safety risk lies within our operation.
· Prepare data for a number of functions including quarterly meetings and reviews of new and existing aerodromes.
What you’ll have:
· An organised and flexible approach to work, with excellent attention to detail
· An understanding of the aviation industry, in-particular, Flight Operations and a desire to develop your skills and knowledge within an aviation environment
· Experience using Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) software would be preferable
· Knowledge of a number of different desktop programmes particularly MS office applications, along with experience in working with data and analytics platforms such as Tableau would be advantageous
· Experience within Data Technician, Data Analyst or a similar role would be preferable
· A background in flying at PPL level or above would be desirable but not essential, as would experience within an aviation based environment
