Job Description:
United Airlines is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee human resources operations across various departments. The HR Manager will be responsible for implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. They will collaborate closely with department heads to support recruitment efforts, employee development programs, and performance management initiatives. The role involves fostering a positive work environment and serving as a resource for employees on HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
Provide guidance and support to department heads and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Coordinate and conduct training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Manage compensation and benefits administration, including payroll oversight and budget management.
Monitor and report on HR metrics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with senior management to forecast HR needs and develop workforce planning strategies.
Maintain HR records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven work experience as an HR Manager or similar role in the airline industry or related field.
In-depth knowledge of HR functions and best practices, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR legal compliance.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
Experience with HRIS and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
