Job Opportunity: For Operations Manager at Pasifika Air in New Zealand

About the Role:

As an Operations Manager at Pasifika Air, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our airline, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of aviation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:

    • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the airline, including flight schedules, crew management, and aircraft maintenance.

    • Ensure that all operations comply with aviation regulations and company policies.

    • Coordinate with various departments, including flight operations, maintenance, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.

  • Staff Management:

    • Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff members, including pilots, maintenance engineers, and customer service representatives.

    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans to enhance staff skills and performance.

    • Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage shift schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, and address any issues or non-compliances promptly.

    • Stay updated on changes in aviation regulations and ensure that the airline adheres to these regulations.

  • Operational Efficiency:

    • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.

    • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

    • Implement and oversee new processes and technologies to enhance operational performance.

  • Customer Experience:

    • Ensure that all aspects of the customer experience meet the airline’s standards of service quality.

    • Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.

    • Work closely with the customer service team to enhance the overall passenger experience.

  • Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and execute operational plans to achieve the airline’s strategic objectives.

    • Collaborate with senior management to set goals and targets for operational performance.

    • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for growth and expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in airline operations management or a similar role.

    • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a diverse team.

    • Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
