Job Opening : Flight Crew Captain at Iskwew Air in Canada

Iskwew Air is currently inviting applications for the position of Captain, based either in Vancouver or Qualicum Beach. This role offers flexibility with options for full-time, part-time, or relief work, making it ideal for individuals who prefer to spend most nights at home. Iskwew Air operates two Piper Navajo Chieftains and has its own Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO).

Key Responsibilities

Command and operate Piper Navajo Chieftain aircraft, ensuring all flights are conducted safely and efficiently.
Lead and mentor junior pilots, fostering a team-oriented environment and promoting professional development.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and safety in all operations and activities.
Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with crew members, passengers, and ground staff.
Apply creative problem-solving skills to adapt to various situations and ensure seamless flight operations.
Maintain compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

Licensing and Medical: Must hold a Canadian Commercial Pilot's License with a Multi-Engine Rating and a valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical.
Flight Hours: A minimum of 1,000 flight hours, including 200 hours of multi-engine experience.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and reporting.
Professionalism: Demonstrated high standards of professionalism and safety in all work-related activities.
Legal Requirements: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to obtain airside security clearance within six months.
Leadership: A team player with the ability to lead and coach junior pilots, setting a positive example and fostering a supportive work environment.
Mindset: A strong safety mindset coupled with a continuous improvement approach.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: Competitive pay based on experience, education, and skills.

Junior Captain: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00
Senior Captain: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00
