Job Summary:
Alliance Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strategic planning, and effective management of financial resources. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis and insights to senior management.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
Cash Flow Management:
Oversee cash flow management and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and manage working capital efficiently.
Compliance and Controls:
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial mismanagement.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the finance team. Provide guidance and support to staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations. Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a finance management role, preferably within the aviation or transport industry.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Excel).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and other departments.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing a finance team.
