Job Description:
Air Transat is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes at our organization. The HR Manager will be responsible for developing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, managing the recruitment and selection process, supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital. The HR Manager will also be responsible for overseeing employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, performance management, training and development, HR policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and hiring processes.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Requirements:
Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive roles.
People-oriented and results-driven.
Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a managerial capacity.
Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP or SPHR) preferred.
