Job Description:

As an Aeronautical Engineer at Qatar Airways, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, performance, and airworthiness of our fleet. You will work closely with various teams to provide engineering support, conduct maintenance, and oversee the implementation of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Aircraft Maintenance and Airworthiness:

Conduct inspections, assessments, and analyses to ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with regulatory standards.
Evaluate aircraft systems and components for reliability and performance, making recommendations for improvements or modifications.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements.

Engineering Support:

Provide technical support to maintenance teams, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
Liaise with manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to address engineering concerns and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Review and approve engineering documentation, including service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical reports.

Project Management:

Lead and manage engineering projects, including the introduction of new aircraft types, modifications, and system upgrades.
Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure project success.

Research and Development:

Stay abreast of the latest developments in aeronautical engineering and aviation technology.
Conduct research and propose innovative solutions to enhance aircraft performance, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aeronautical engineering, preferably within an airline or aviation industry.
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and aerodynamics.
Experience with maintenance planning and project management.

Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.

Certifications:

Professional certifications in aeronautical engineering or related areas are an asset.
Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA) is highly desirable.
