Position Overview:
Virgin Australia is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Reservation Agent to join our team. As a Reservation Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by assisting with flight reservations, changes, and inquiries. Your role will involve handling a variety of customer interactions, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for each passenger.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Provide professional and friendly assistance to customers via phone, email, and online chat. Handle inquiries about flight schedules, fares, and services.
Reservations:
Make and modify flight reservations, issue tickets, and process cancellations and refunds in accordance with airline policies and procedures.
Problem Solving:
Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
Sales: Promote and upsell additional services such as seat upgrades, extra baggage, and travel insurance.
Communication:
Keep customers informed about flight delays, cancellations, and other relevant information. Provide accurate and timely information to ensure a smooth travel experience.
Data Entry:
Accurately enter and update customer information in the reservation system. Maintain confidentiality and security of customer data.
Compliance:
Adhere to all company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications in travel, tourism, or related fields are advantageous.
Experience:
Previous experience in a customer service or reservations role, preferably within the airline or travel industry.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using reservation systems and computer applications.
Attributes:
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and handle stressful situations with a positive attitude. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Availability:
Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as required.
