Job Opening For HR Manager Air Transat

Job Description:

Air Transat, a leading Canadian Airline, is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in managing the human resources operations, ensuring compliance with policies and legal regulations, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.

Plan and coordinate HR initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.

Recruitment and Staffing:

Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other external partners.

Employee Relations:

Address employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.

Conduct investigations and resolve conflicts in a fAir and timely manner.

Performance Management:

Implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance.

Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues.

Training and Development:

Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development.

Organize workshops, seminars, and other training initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits:

Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.

Conduct salary surveys and make recommendations for salary adjustments.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local labor laws and regulations.

Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory bodies.

HR Administration:

Oversee HR administrative functions, including maintaining employee records and HR systems.

Manage HR budgets and expenses.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the aviation industry.

Knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.

HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL).

Bilingual in English and French.
