Position Overview:
Air Canada is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Airport Manager to join our team. The Airport Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of airport facilities and ensuring that all services meet the highest standards of safety, security, and customer satisfaction. This role is integral to maintaining smooth airport operations and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily airport operations, including terminal facilities, ground handling, passenger services, and baggage handling.
Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations, safety standards, and Air Canada policies.
Lead and manage airport staff, including customer service agents, ground crews, and security personnel.
Coordinate with aviation authorities, airlines, and service providers to optimize airport operations and enhance passenger experience.
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
Oversee budget preparation and management, procurement processes, and financial record-keeping for airport operations.
Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain high service standards.
Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in airport management or a related role within the aviation industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and airport operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing operational challenges.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with flexibility to handle varied responsibilities.
