Job Opening For Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technical Specialist Position at Allegiant
The Ground Support Equipment Technical Specialist role encompasses all non-aircraft assets used in ramp, airport, and maintenance operations. This includes motorized and non-motorized equipment, passenger handling devices, support tools (such as chocks and pins), deicing equipment, and other specified items. Responsibilities cover equipment that is leased, rented, or owned to support Allegiant's operations.

Minimum Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Immigration Act of 1986) and pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years in a related field (e.g., GSE or aviation industry).
Age: At least 18 years old.
Skills: Good planning and organizational skills.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 20%.
Safety and Customer Service: Commitment to safety and excellent customer service.
Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Training: Ability to attend and complete required training.
Goal Setting: Ability to set and achieve performance goals.
Technical Proficiency: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT use.
Preferred Requirements
Mechanical/Technical Training: Relevant certifications or training in Ground Equipment or fleet management.
Diesel Mechanic Training.
Advanced planning and organizational skills.
Job Duties
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate GSE inventory records across the network.
GSE Maintenance: Assist in developing and controlling the GSE maintenance program for reliability and cost efficiency.
Coordination: Work with station and maintenance teams to meet operational needs.
Invoice Management: Review and process GSE-related invoices for payment.
Procurement: Assist with processing requisitions and ensuring proper procedures are followed.
Vendor Management: Monitor and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Equipment Specifications: Assist in defining and developing equipment specifications.
Coordination: Manage equipment movements, parts support, and maintenance activities.
Ramp Procedures: Ensure appropriate use of GSE through procedures and training.
Cost Management: Control all costs related to GSE, including acquisition, maintenance, and fuel.
Analysis: Support systems development for GSE reliability and cost analysis.
Field Support: Provide information and support to GSE users.
Customer Service: Model and provide excellent customer service.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers for various tasks.
May need to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs.
Required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation.
Regular attendance is mandatory.
Exposure to moderate noise, temperature, and light fluctuations.
Ability to work in confined areas and sit at a computer for extended periods.
Some travel may be required.

Compensation and Benefits
Full-Time Salary: $60,000 - $82,000 per year.
