History and evolution of the Airline industry.

Airline business models (low-cost carriers, full-service carriers, etc.).

Airline alliances and codeshare agreements.

Key stakeholders in the Airline industry (Airlines, Airports, regulators, etc.).

Airline Operations :

Network planning and scheduling.

Revenue management and pricing strategies.

Flight operations (ground handling, inflight services, safety).

Fleet management and Aircraft selection.

Module 3:

Marketing and Distribution :

Airline marketing strategies and customer relationship management.

Distribution channels (direct sales, travel agencies, online travel agents).

E-commerce and digital marketing in the Airline industry.

Module 4: 

Regulations and Safety  :

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and its role.

Airport safety regulations and security procedures.

Environmental considerations in Airport management.

Week 2: Airports

Airport types and classifications.

Airport ownership and governance models.

Airport capacity and slot management.

Key stakeholders in Airport management

(Airlines, passengers, cargo operators, ground handling companies).

Airport Operations  :

Airport maintenance and infrastructure development.

Assessment:

Participation in class discussions and case studies.

Group project on a chosen airline or airport challenge (40%).

Final exam (40%).
