Position Overview:

As an Aircraft Dispatcher at Etihad Airways, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Flights. Your responsibilities will include Flight planning, coordinating with pilots and Air traffic control, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and company policies. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Flight Planning: 

Develop and file Flight plans, taking into account weather conditions, Air traffic, Aircraft performance, and fuel requirements.

Coordination: 

Communicate with pilots, ground Crew, and Air traffic controllers to ensure smooth Flight operations.

Safety and Compliance: 

Ensure all Flight operations comply with Etihad Airways' safety standards and aviation regulations.

Monitoring: 

Track the progress of Flights and make real-time decisions to address any issues that arise, such as route changes due to weather or Air traffic.

Documentation: 

Maintain accurate records of Flight operations, including any deviations from planned routes or schedules.

Communication: 

Provide pilots with pre-Flight briefings and updates during Flights as necessary.

Problem-Solving: 

Address and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize delays and disruptions.

Qualifications:

Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in aviation management or a related field is preferred.

Certification: 

Valid Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate or equivalent.

Experience: 

Previous experience as an Aircraft dispatcher or in a similar role within the aviation industry is preferred.

Skills: 

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.

Knowledge: 

In-depth understanding of Flight operations, weather analysis, and Air traffic control procedures.

Technical Proficiency: 

Familiarity with Flight planning software and other aviation-related technologies.
